On intuitive creation, colorful freedom, and the stillness of early mornings.
Artist Dates is a portrait series featuring women who wear and embody TEREO — free spirits, makers, explorers. Each story is a gentle invitation to connect, reflect, and rediscover wonder. 🌿

Meet the artist
Elien is 30, an optician-optometrist by day, and a dreamer with a deep love for color. She works in her family’s optical shop in Asse, Belgium, but her free moments are filled with creating one-of-a-kind jewelry — all by hand, under her label Feliz Jewels.

The story starts in Ibiza
“Maybe a little cliché,” she laughs, “but it truly feels like a second home.”
She’s been going there since she was a baby, to the home her grandparents built. Last year, she got married on the island — an extra layer of meaning for a place already full of memory.
Paris also shaped her. After her studies, she moved there with her now-husband Tim, and the city offered her a new kind of freedom. “It opened something in me,” she says.
Though she’s since returned to her roots in Asse in search of a quieter pace, the influence of that time lingers.

From lockdown hobby to conscious creation
Feliz began during lockdown. Elien started making bracelets for friends, just for fun.
“It got out of hand, in the best way,” she says. Orders came in, shops showed interest, and soon she was juggling ten stockists, a full-time job, and a busy life. It was too much. So she stepped back and returned to where it all started: making jewelry by hand, slowly and intentionally.
This time, she chose high-quality, meaningful materials. “I wanted to work with real gemstones — each with their own story and energy.” For some people, a stone holds symbolic power; for others, it’s just something beautiful. Both are welcome.

Everything starts from intuition
Elien sources her stones in small boutiques in Paris, many of which import from India or the Americas.
“It feels like walking into a candy store,” she says. She doesn’t shop with a plan. “I go by feel. I touch, I hold, I choose what speaks to me.”
The creation happens at home, alone. She spreads out her materials, waits until the colors and shapes fall into harmony. Only then does she begin.
“If the piece doesn’t feel right, I take it apart and start again.”

A TEREO fan since day 1
Elien has been wearing TEREO for years. “What I love most is the comfort,” she says. “No wires, no fuss. You put it on in the morning and don’t think about it all day.”
As a minimalist traveler, it’s also a practical choice.
“I pack one or two sets and I’m done — I wear them under clothes, at the beach, during aperitifs. That kind of freedom is so rare in swimwear.”
And finally, are you terre or eau?
Elien doesn’t hesitate.
“Definitely Eau. I’m a Pisces — I’m always drawn to water. Even in Belgium, I love being by the sea. Swimming in the ocean is one of the freest feelings I know.”
Even her jewelry reflects that pull: glimmering, light-filled, full of movement and memory.
